Pushing the boundaries of immersion
In Belgium in 2021, Diana Borcescu and Maxime Jacobs envisioned a different way to experience immersion: without a headset, without isolation and without losing the connection with the people around us.
Their initial ambition was to make this technology accessible to the healthcare sector and to people for whom traditional immersive systems could present a barrier. From this idea came SAM: a space where immersion becomes natural, shared and integrated into the real-world environment.
Through years of R&D and scientific collaboration, SAM has evolved into a unique physical and software platform capable of supporting multiple types of content and use cases. Initially developed for healthcare, it is now expanding into research, training, education and new forms of experience.
One vision continues to guide inMersiv: opening new dimensions of human experience while keeping interaction at the heart of the technology.
